O R D E R:

In the G.O. 1st read above Government have issued certain guidelines to consider the cases for Registration of new Fresh Water Aquaculture farmers in the State of Telangana.

2.  In the circumstances reported by the Commissioner of Fisheries, T.S, Hyderabad in the letter 2nd read above Government hereby issue the following amendments to Guidelines and Procedure for Registration of the G.O 1st read above.

3	1.8 To prevent groundwater depletion, no fresh water aquaculture farm shall be permitted to use water drawn from bore wells except for supplementing the losses from evaporation, seepage, etc.			1.8 To prevent groundwater depletion, no fresh water aquaculture farm shall be permitted to use water drawn from bore wells except for supplementing the losses from evaporation, seepage, etc. But this does not apply to the Re-circulatory Aquaculture Units since they do not consume bulk quantity of water and re-circulate the same water excepting compensation of evaporation losses.
4	Nil			1.11. Re-circulatory Aquaculture Unit and quarry pits must not let the waste water untreated and also fish into any water source. It must have bio-security and safety arrangements.
II	Procedure for Registration
5	2.1 Persons who wish to start aquaculture farms shall apply to the District Level Committee through the District Fisheries Officer (Annexure-I) and pay processing fee of Rs.200/- per acre. The DLC will scrutinize the applications as per the guidelines issued in this order and visit the proposed site if necessary then recommend for registration. District Fisheries Officer will submit the file to the Dist Collector / Chairman DLC to issue the registration (Annexure-II).			2.1 Persons who wish to start aquaculture farms shall apply to the District Level Committee through the District Fisheries Officer (Annexure-I) and pay processing fee of Rs.200/- per acre and in case of RAS units, it is Rs. 2,000/- per unit (capacity 10 MT / crop). The DLC will scrutinize the applications as per the guidelines issued in this order and visit the proposed site if necessary and then recommend for registration. District Fisheries Officer will submit the file to the Dist Collector / Chairman DLC to issue the registration (Annexure-II).
6	2.2 The District Level Committee visit the ponds at any time after completion of the construction or during culture period. If any violations are observed as per the conditions mentioned in this order, the DLC has the power to recommend for cancellation of the registration.			2.2 The District Level Committee visit the ponds / RAS unit at any time after completion of the construction or during culture period. 3.  The Commissioner of Fisheries, Telangana State, Hyderabad and the District Collectors concerned shall take all necessary actions accordingly.
